Ministering To

Christ's Church

In His Name

For His Glory

About

Church Consulting Services is a division of our family business, AMI.  In addition to church consulting services, AMI provides marketing consulting services and web design; markets products through niche web sites; and provides web-based resources for church business, work at home and stay at home moms, and home school families.

Principle Consultant:

Allow me to briefly introduce myself.  My name is Stephen Anderson and I am the principle consultant at AMI Church Consulting Services.  I am the author of Preparing to Build,  past contributing editor to Church & Worship Technology Magazine, seminar speaker, and church building consultant, husband, and father of 7 boys. I chaired both the building committee and capital campaign committees in my own church where I also served as as treasurer and administrator.  Been there, done that and have the bullet-holed shirt to prove it!

What We offer at AMI - CCS:

What we offer can be summed up very simply as the wisdom and understanding than can only come by experience.

"How blessed is the man who finds wisdom and the man who gains understanding" (Proverbs 3:13).

Churches contemplating building are faced with 3 very daunting tasks.  They must figure out 1) the steps they need to take and the order in which to do them; 2) how to execute those steps and do it right the first time; and finally, 3) to find the right people to labor along side of the church in its endeavor.  We can help.

Our consulting services provide to your church:

Best Practices - What really works and what does not.  A consultant provides a proven process to maximize the fruit of your labor while minimizing cost, time investment and risk from mistakes. Whether it is to map out a strategy or walk the road with you, your church will benefit in tangible and spiritual ways.

Experience - It's not enough to know what to do, you have to know how to do it.  As wise as he was, when Solomon built the temple, the first thing he asked for was a a skilled (cunning) man to head up his building program.  Solomon knew that wisdom alone was no replacement for experience.  Like Solomon and Moses before him, you can have expert help for your building program.

Contacts - The church must hire the services of architects and builders who are experts in their fields. Sadly, the church often does not know enough about either building or hiring professionals to be able to make truly informed decisions.  Knowing how to evaluate vendors and negotiate fair contracts, and having established, proven contacts in the industry will save the church time and money.

A Minister's Heart - God has called me to minister to His church, in His name, for His glory. He's called me to be an aid to your church helping you to both achieve your God-given vision, and  to fulfill your mission to edify the saints and win souls for the Kingdom of God while time yet remains.

How we deliver:

Perhaps, first and foremost is my book, Preparing to Build.  Every church considering a building program in the next 3 years should invest the few dollars to better understand the process and how to best prepare the church for building.  I know you will learn a lot and will save yourself a lot of time, effort, and probably lots of money. And if you don't agree, return the book and I'll give you your money back.

Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, I provide church construction related consulting services that range from assisting with preparation and planning through design, financing and capital stewardship.  Services can range from a short term assessment to long term engagements.

The analogy I often use is this:  I can tell you where you are and provide you a roadmap to where you want to go, or I can walk the road with you and show you the way.  Regardless of what is the right fit for your church, I am willing to stand in the gap with you to whatever degree your church requires.

Finally, I am available as a conference speaker, seminar presenter or "group coach" for churches that are together either geographically, or in an association, conference or denominational conference setting.
